B.A.M. Khalsa College is the best college in Kandi area of Garhshankar, established in 1969 caters to the growing demand for qualified technical personnel in different streams. Since its inception, the college has always been at the forefront of innovation and has attained a leading position in the field of technical and professional education. It has been recommended by many previously passed students and is considered as the best degree college in Garhshankar. It is poised to grow bigger and better as well as continues to seek solutions on important global problems, educating leaders to make the world a better place.
In view of the increasing importance of the computer science discipline, a separate Department of Computer Science and Applications was established in 1999 to offer Bachelor degree in Computer Science and Applications and Post- Graduate diploma in computer applications. It enables you to work in multidisciplinary environments and get responsive to the changing needs of the society. Incorporating a detailed mix of software and hardware engineering, this program can be defined as the application of a systemic, disciplined, and quantifiable approach to development, operation and maintenance of computer-related technicalities.
The Department is well equipped with high end computers, latest software & state-of-the-art IT infrastructure and all these computing resources are inter-connected with high speed intranet. Our students are exposed to up-to-date curriculum, technology and techniques. The Department has well experienced & dedicated faculty members with different specializations
Computer Science and Applications are in great demand in industries across the globe. The program imparts comprehensive knowledge with equal emphasis on theory and practice in the field of computer science. BCA, MSc (IT) and PGDCA would be able to demonstrate advanced skills in the effective analysis, design and realization of business systems utilizing contemporary information technology. The broad objective of the program is to provide sound academic base from which an advanced career in Computer Applications can be developed. Conceptual grounding in computer usage as well as its practical business application will be provided making candidates suitable for IT sector entry-level jobs.

Welcome to Department of Computer Science and Applications (DCSA), Department of Computer Science and Applications was established in 1999. The Department seeks to combine excellence in education with service to the industry. Our vision is to be recognized as innovative and leading Computer Science Department. The objective is to empower our students with latest technical knowledge and skills by providing them with the best teaching faculty, lab facilities , excellent development environment and excellent infrastructure. Every year various technical as well as non-technical competitions are arranged and organized by the department.
In our department students are nurtured to become best software professionals as Project Managers, Website Designer, Social Media Expert, Team leaders in Industry or become Entrepreneurs in their own innovative way. We are having hard-working students, a young and dynamic faculty, whose expertise spans the range of disciplines in computer science stream and a very healthy work-culture. We hold firm belief in our ability to succeed, and we nurture an attitude of self-reliance, confidence, commitment and responsibility to the motherland that we are to serve.
Our department has a distinguished record in both teaching and research. Faculty members have excellent academic credentials and are highly regarded. Several faculty members serve on the editorial boards of journals, review technical articles for journals on a regular basis, and organize national seminar and workshops.
