POST-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP’ FOR STUDENTS BELONGING TO THE MINORITY COMMUNITIES

This scheme is Central Sector Scheme and 100% funding is provided by the Ministry of Minority Affairs. The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority community.

Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents/guardians from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.00 lakh.

The scheme is implemented through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). It is mandatory for all students to apply online on the website i.e. www.scholarships.gov.in and submit the form with requisite documents in the college.

CENTRAL SECTOR SCHEME OF SCHOLARSHIP FOR COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

To provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low income families to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of the results of Senior Secondary Examination. Students who are above 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream from the respective Board of Examination in Class XII of 10+2 pattern or equivalent and their parental/family income ceiling is Rs. 8 lakh per annum for all categories are eligible to apply.

The scheme is implemented through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). It is mandatory for all students to apply online on the website i.e. www.scholarships.gov.in and submit the filled application form with requisite documents in the college.

POST GRADUATE INDIRA GANDHI SCHOLARSHIP FOR SINGLE GIRL CHILD

The objective of the proposed scheme is to support Post Graduate education of single girl child in postgraduate courses only. The details of Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship eligibility criteria are given below.

  • Applicants must be admitted into the regular, full-time 1st year master’s degree course in any designated university or Postgraduate college.
  • The girl candidates must be the only child of her parents. The candidates must not have any brother, though the girl students who are twin daughters/ fraternal daughters may apply for this UGC scholarship.
  • The candidates must not be more than 30 years of age at the time of admission into the PG programme.

POST GRADUATE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR UNIVERSITY RANK HOLDERS AT UNDER GRADUATE LEVEL

The First and Second Rank holders at undergraduate level and admitted in any Postgraduate Course would be awarded the scholarship. The scholarship is available to the student for first PG Degree only. Age limit for the students is 30 years at the time of admission in PG course. The scholarship will provide the financial aid of INR 3100 per month for the duration of two years.

POST MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP IN HINDI FOR STUDENTS FROM NON-HINDI SPEAKING STATES

The main object of the scheme is to encourage the study of Hindi in Non-Hindi speaking states. Candidates who belong to Non-Hindi Speaking States and have taken Hindi as an elective subject in B.A. are eligible for a scholarship.

PUNJAB STATE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP

This merit based scholarship is funded by Punjab Government on the basis of marks obtained in B.A./B.Sc. Students who have secured more than 60% marks in B.A./B.Sc. and have taken admission in first year of M.A./M.Sc. are eligible to apply.

SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDED BY SITA RAM JINDAL TRUST

The Sitaram Jindal Foundation (SJF), formerly known as S J Jindal Trust is a charitable organization, provides financial assistance to students to pursue courses after Matriculations. The students whose Parents are employable, the income limit is Rs. 4.00 Lakh per year and for others the income limit is 2.50 Lakh per year. Students can download the application from the website www.sitaramjindalfoundation.org.

III SOCIETY OF SCIENCE STUDENTS SCHOLARSHIP FOR MERITORIOUS AND FINANCIALLY WEEK STUDENTS

III Society of Science Students is a non-profitable society run by Science Department of B.A.M. Khalsa College. Funds for the society are collected from college Science Students, Teachers, Principal and from some organizations and individuals. Minimum of 10% of total funds collected during whole academic session is used for providing scholarships for meritorious and needy students of B.Sc., B.Sc. B.Ed. and M.Sc. Minimum 75% attendance in the current session and 70% marks in the previous year final examination is required to apply for scholarship.

SCHOLARSHIPS FROM S.G.P.C. TO AMRITDHARI STUDENTS

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Amritsar provides scholarships to Amritdhari students each year. To apply for the scholarship student is required to submit Amritdhari Certificate in the college.

MERIT CUM MEANS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

The objective of the scheme is to provide financial help to the economically weak and meritorious students. Each year two students will be selected from first year B.Sc. Program on the basis of merit in class 12. The scholarship will be continued for the whole program. In the very first year of study each student will be awarded Rs. 10,000/-, on second year he/she will be awarded 8000/- and in final year the amount of scholarship paid to them will be Rs. 7000/- each, if they continue to fulfil the criteria of Merit cum Means Scholarship Scheme.

POST-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR SC STUDENTS

Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme has been solely put forth to offer financial support to the economically weaker students from the Scheduled Caste. This scheme offers Scholarships for the students to pursue courses after Matriculation. The students, whose parental or guardians’ income is less than Rs. 4 Lac p.a. are eligible to apply. The Scholarship form is available on the Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Portal and interested applicants have to apply online and submit requisite documents to the college. The scholarship amount is transferred via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the applicants’ bank account.

 

POST-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR OBC STUDENTS

Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme has been solely put forth to offer financial support to the economically weaker students from the Other Backward Caste. This scheme offers Scholarships for the students to pursue courses after Matriculation. The students, whose parental or guardians’ income is less than Rs. 1.5 Lac p.a. are eligible to apply. The Scholarship form is available on the Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Portal and interested applicants have to apply online and submit requisite documents to the college. The scholarship amount is transferred via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the applicants’ bank account.

BALBIR SINGH SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

The main objective of S. BALBIR SINGH Scholarship Scheme is to provide financial help to the economically weak and meritorious students. A student from first year BCA and B.A (with Elective Punjabi) will be selected based on Merit position in the 12th class. The scholarship will be continued for the whole program. The scholarship amount for the first year will be Rs. 5000/-, for the second year will be Rs. 4000/- and for the final year will be Rs. 3000/- for each student
