BAM KHALSA COLLEGE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. To work for the welfare of the BAM Khalsa College, Garhshankar and support its vision and mission.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. To establish a mutually beneficial relationship between the institution and its alumni.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. To encourage and organize educational, social, cultural, sporting and civic activities among members.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. To maintain links with alumni in country and abroad and exchange innovative ideas and share information through communication for the betterment of the institution.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. To promote and provide help for educational scholarship and medical relief to poor and needy students of BAM Khalsa College, Garhshankar.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. To help foster a global perspective\/standard in leading learning and prepare students for the global job market.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. To help in providing world class infrastructure for the students of the institution, so that the students of this institution could compete at international level.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. To arrange seminars, symposia, workshops and lectures for refreshing\/updating knowledge and information of the alumni and current students of the institution.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. To honour the alumni for their outstanding contribution.<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. To create a fund for providing financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students of the college and the name of the fund shall be BAM Khalsa College Alumni Association Society Fund.<\/span><\/li>\n
  11. To do any other thing that may be conducive to the interest of the Society.<\/span><\/li>\n
  12. All the income, earnings, movable or immovable properties of the society\u00a0shall be utilized and applied towards the promotion of its aims and objects only as set forth in the memorandum of association and no portion thereof shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividends, bonus, profit or in any manner whatsoever, to the present or past members of the society<\/span><\/li>\n
  13. To any person claiming through any one or more of the present or past members. No member of the society shall have any personal claim on any movable or immovable properties of the society or make any profit, whatsoever, by virtue of his membership.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    RULES & REGULATIONS<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

    1. Name of the society:-\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0 BAM Khalsa College Alumni Association<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/li>\n
    2. \n

      Membership Defined<\/strong><\/b>:-<\/span> The membership of the society is open to any person who has attained the age of maturity and fulfills the terms & conditions of the society but subject to the approval of the governing body of the society.<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
    3. \n

      Fee for membership<\/strong><\/b>:-<\/span> Subscription\u00a0shall\u00a0be\u00a0as\u00a0following,\u00a0unless\u00a0otherwise\u00a0revised\u00a0by\u00a0the Governing\u00a0Body\u00a0of the\u00a0society:<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        \n
      • Subscription\u00a0Rs. 500\/per\u00a0year<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Life Time Subscription\u00a0Rs. 5000\/-<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/li>\n
      • Life time Membership for NRI is $\/\u00a3\/\u20ac\u00a0200\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>(currency applicable in the country to which NRI belongs)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        The amount of subscription fees can be revised from time to time by the Governing Body.<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

        4.\u00a0 Termination\u00a0or\u00a0Cessation\u00a0of\u00a0membership:-<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>The\u00a0Governing\u00a0Body\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0society shall\u00a0have\u00a0power\u00a0to\u00a0expel\/terminate\u00a0a\u00a0member\u00a0from\u00a0membership\u00a0of\u00a0the society on the following\u00a0grounds:-<\/span><\/h4>\n
          \n
        1. On death.<\/span><\/li>\n
        2. On written resignation.<\/span><\/li>\n
        3. If found involved in any\u00a0anti- social\u00a0activities.<\/span><\/li>\n
        4. If adjudged by any court of law to be criminal offender.<\/span><\/li>\n
        5. If\u00a0disregards\u00a0Rules\u00a0&\u00a0Regulations\u00a0or\u00a0disobey\u00a0the\u00a0decision\u00a0of\u00a0the Governing\u00a0Body.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          5. General\u00a0Body\u00a0Defined<\/strong><\/b>.:-\u00a0<\/span>All\u00a0the\u00a0Members\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0society\u00a0will\u00a0constitute\u00a0the General Body of the\u00a0Society.<\/span><\/h4>\n

          6. General Body\u00a0Meeting<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n
            \n
          1. Notice:\u00a0–<\/span>\u00a0Minimum\u00a015\u00a0days\u2019\u00a0notice\u00a0shall\u00a0be\u00a0given\u00a0to\u00a0all\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0members,\u00a0before\u00a0the date\u00a0of\u00a0General Body Meeting, enclosed agenda specifying date, time, place and issues to be discussed.<\/span><\/li>\n
          2. Meeting: –<\/span> General Body Meeting shall be held once in every year\u00a0regularly.<\/span><\/li>\n
          3. Quorum:<\/span> -The\u00a0quorum\u00a0of\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0the\u00a0\u00a0general\u00a0\u00a0Body\u00a0Meeting\u00a0\u00a0shall\u00a0\u00a0be\u00a0\u00a0\u00a02\/3rd (two\u00a0\u2014third) of\u00a0the\u00a0total\u00a0strength\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Governing\u00a0Body\u00a0members\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0society<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            7. Right\u00a0&\u00a0Privileges\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0members:<\/strong><\/b><\/span>-All\u00a0the\u00a0members\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0society\u00a0shall\u00a0be entitled\u00a0to\u00a0participate\u00a0in\u00a0meetings, cultural,\u00a0educational\u00a0functions\u00a0and\u00a0other\u00a0lawful gatherings,\u00a0called\u00a0\/arranged\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0association.<\/span><\/h4>\n

            8. Duties of the\u00a0members<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n
              \n
            1. All\u00a0and\u00a0every\u00a0member\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0society\u00a0shall\u00a0elect\u00a0the\u00a0governing\u00a0body\u00a0of\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0the Society.<\/span><\/li>\n
            2. Attend the General Body meetings\u00a0regularly.<\/span><\/li>\n
            3. Give\u00a0necessary\u00a0information\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0society, pertaining to any matter which\u00a0is necessary to be known by the\u00a0society.<\/span><\/li>\n
            4. not\u00a0indulged\u00a0in\u00a0activities\u00a0which\u00a0are\u00a0prejudicial\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0aims\u00a0&\u00a0objectives\u00a0and the Rules & Regulations of the\u00a0Society<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              9. Governing\u00a0Body<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n
                \n
              1. Strength:-<\/strong><\/b><\/span>\u00a0The\u00a0strength of the\u00a0Governing\u00a0Body\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0society (including\u00a0office\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>bearers\u00a0and\u00a0executive\u00a0member)\u00a0shall\u00a0not\u00a0be\u00a0less\u00a0than\u00a07 and\u00a0not\u00a0more\u00a0than\u00a021.<\/span><\/li>\n
              2. Term:<\/span> –<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0Term\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Governing\u00a0Body\u00a0shall\u00a0be\u00a0Two years.<\/span><\/li>\n
              3. Notice:<\/span>–<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0Minimum\u00a07\u00a0days\u2019<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0notice\u00a0shall\u00a0be\u00a0required\u00a0for\u00a0every\u00a0governing\u00a0body meeting\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0society,\u00a0but\u00a0urgent\u00a0meeting\u00a0can be\u00a0called\u00a0by\u00a024\u00a0hours\u2019\u00a0notice.<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/li>\n
              4. Quorum: –<\/strong><\/b><\/span>\u00a0The\u00a0quorum\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0general\u00a0Body\u00a0Meeting\u00a0shall\u00a0be\u00a02\/3rd (two\u00a0-third)\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>of\u00a0the\u00a0total\u00a0strength\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Governing\u00a0Body\u00a0Members\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0society.<\/span><\/li>\n
              5. Meeting:<\/span>–<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0Governing\u00a0Body\u00a0Meeting shall\u00a0be\u00a0held\u00a0once<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0<\/em>in\u00a0every\u00a0three<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0months regularly.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                10. Functions & Powers of the Governing Body:-<\/span> <\/span><\/strong><\/b>Governing Body shall be responsible for management and administration of all affairs of the Society and is also authorized to appoint any office bearer\/ executive member to look after any particular activity. All the decisions shall be taken by votes. The Governing Body shall have the powers as are the powers of the society mention in the Memorandum of the society and also in the rules\u00a0&\u00a0regulations,\u00a0to\u00a0prepare\u00a0plans,\u00a0projects\u00a0and\u00a0programmes.<\/span><\/h4>\n

                11. Composition\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Governing\u00a0Body:<\/strong><\/b>–<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

                Composition\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Governing\u00a0Body\u00a0shall\u00a0be\u00a0as\u00a0under<\/span><\/p>\n

                2. Vice President\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/strong><\/b>One<\/span><\/li>\n

                6. Coordinator\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/b>One<\/span><\/li>\n
                7. Patron\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/b>One<\/span><\/li>\n
                8. \u00a0Executive Members\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/strong><\/b>Two\u00a0to\u00a0Sixteen\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  12. Duties\u00a0of\u00a0\u00a0Office\u00a0Bearers<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n
                    \n
                  • President.<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                      \n
                    1. President shall preside over all the meetings of the society.<\/span><\/li>\n
                    2. At the time of voting on any matter\/ subject (except election) if total votes of the groups of the members happen to be equal in number, the President has powers to cast an extra vote to decide the matter\/ subject.<\/span><\/li>\n
                    3. President shall have power to allow inclusion of any subject\/ matter in agenda for discussion in the course of proceeding\/ meeting.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                        \n
                      • Treasurer:-<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                          \n
                        1. \u00a0Treasurer shall maintain accounts of money which is received or paid by him\/ her on behalf of the society.<\/span><\/li>\n
                        2. Treasurer shall make disbursement in accordance with the direction of Governing Body of the Society.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                            \n
                          • General Secretary:-<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                              \n
                            1. \u00a0General Secretary will summon and attend the meetings of the Governing Body.<\/span><\/li>\n
                            2. He will also prepare the membership register as well as proceeding register to record the minutes of the proceedings of the governing of the Governing\u00a0 Body Meetings and General Body Meetings and have them duly signed by the members have them duly signed by the who attend the meetings.<\/span><\/li>\n
                            3. \u00a0The Secretary shall enjoy all the power of General Secretary in his\/ her absence.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                              13.Re- Admission. :-<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>In case any member\u00a0 of the society is expelled by Governing Body on the reason of Non Payment of the subscription, he can be re-admitted , provided the concerned member pay all up to dates dues with the permission of the Governing Body.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

                              14.Appeals: –<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0All the appeals shall be referred to the Governing Body of the society and the decision of Governing Body shall be final.<\/span><\/p>\n

                              15. Filling of Casual Vacancies: –<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>Any casual vacancy amongst the Governing Body shall be filled by the resolution passed by the Governing Body. Such appointment(s) shall be confirmed by the General Body in its coming General Body meetings.<\/span><\/p>\n

                              16. Election:-\u00a0<\/strong><\/b><\/span>General Body in its annual Meeting will elect its President and all office bearer and shall also the executive members of the Governing Body, after every two years by secret ballot papers or by show of hands as election officer decide. The office bearer will be elected only for one term on that position.<\/span><\/p>\n

                              17. Source of income:-<\/strong><\/b><\/span>\u00a0Sources of the income of the society are from admission fees, subscription from members, donation and special contributions . All the income of the society shall be utilized only for promotion and upliftment of the aims and objects of the Society<\/span><\/p>\n

                              18.Financial Year:<\/strong>–\u00a0<\/span>Financial Year of the Society shall from 1st April to 31st March, every Year.<\/span><\/h4>\n

                              19.Audit of Account:-<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0The accounts of the society shall be audited by the qualified auditor(Chartered Accountant) every year.<\/span><\/h4>\n

                              20. Management of Funds & Accounts Operation:-<\/strong><\/b><\/span>Bank Accounts shall be operated by Joint Signatures of Principal\/Coordinator and any one out of President\/ General Secretary and Treasurer.<\/span><\/p>\n

                              21.Annual list of Managing Governing Body:-<\/strong><\/span>Once in every year list of the office bearers of Governing body shall be filed with the Registrar of Societies, as required under Section 4 of the Societies Registration Act 1860.<\/span><\/h4>\n

                              22. Dissolution and Adjustment of affairs: –<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>If the society needs to be dissolved it shall be dissolved as per the provision laid under Sections 13 and 14 of the Societies Registration Act.1860.<\/span><\/p>\n

                              23. Legal proceedings (Section 6 of the Act):-<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>The society may sue or be sued in the name of the President I Secretary as provision lay down under section 6 of Societies Registration Act 1860. Amendments \/alteration, extension or abridgement of \u201cpurposes ” aims and objects or change of name, section 12 and 12 A of the Societies Registration Act. The amendments should be made under this section.<\/span><\/p>\n

                              24.Application of the Act:- <\/span><\/strong><\/b>All the provisions under all the section of \u00a0Societies Registration Act 1860 shall apply to this society.<\/span><\/p>\n

                              25. Certificate<\/strong><\/b>:-<\/span> <\/span>Certified that this is the correct copy of the rules and regulations of the Society<\/span><\/p>\n
