COLLEGE CAMPUS

In the premises of BAM Khalsa College, there is a stadium named Olympian Jarnail Singh Memorial Football Stadium, with seating steps for spectators and covered VIP Pavilion, named after an Arjun Awardee football player Jarnail Singh, inaugurated on 27/12/2007 by Late S. Avtar Singh Makkar, the then SGPC President. It has a sprawling football ground, sufficient to accommodate many other athletic facilities too.

COLLEGE GROUNDS

The college campus has a football ground with lush green grass for the most popular and followed sports not only in the region but also in the world. College students bring laurel to the college by securing positions in many leagues at university and other levels. Apart from this, college has a basketball ground. Basketball is another famous sport of the area, which is enjoyed by both male and female students at the college. These grounds help the budding players to showcase their talent to the world.  

LAWNS AND PARKS

Lawns and parks are highly satisfying for students and faculty. These are the most enjoyed places in the college campus, as here one can not only relax but also can enjoy the touch of mother Nature. BAM Khalsa College has many lawns and parks in its premises which adorns the beauty of the campus and catches the eye of all.

COLLEGE LABORATORIES 

BAM Khalsa College duly acknowledges the role of theoretical and practical knowledge in the life of students. Theoretical knowledge is dealt with in the classrooms, to impart practical knowledge; college has set-up 14 labs in the college campus catering the needs of different disciplines. These labs lead the students to a much deeper understanding of the concept through the act of doing and personal experience. The college has following labs:

LIBRARY

The College Library has the distinction of housing vast collection of books of varying subjects. There are more than 22,000 books in the library with bar code system making it fully electronic. There is a facility of National Digital Library (NDL) for the staff and the scholars to provide them the access to learning resources on Internet. Students are made the members of the NDL on enrollment in this college. There is a separate Reference, Periodicals, Magazines and Journals section. Library collection is well classified, catalogued and kept in different subject almirahs in a systematic way. Library is well furnished and has seating capacity of large number of students at one time. Newspapers in three languages (Punjabi, Hindi, and English) are displayed on the stands in the library to make students aware of day-to-day happenings in the world. The library remains open on all working days from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

BABBAR MUSEUM 

Babbar Museum is built in the college in the memory of Babbar Akalis who contributed and sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Gurudwaras and struggles for independence. Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar, Former President, SGPC laid the foundation stone of the museum on 19 September, 2002 It is enriched with rare photographs and statues of freedom fighters. There are number of books narrating the tales of their sacrifices. In fact, this museum is a splendid effort on the part of authority to commemorate the Babbar Akalis which would result in rekindling the sense of nationalism among the people in general and youth in particular.   

GURUDWARA 

With a vision to make students aware of teachings of ten Gurus and to inculcate moral values among them Gurudwara Sahib is built in the college campus. Prayers are held every day in the morning and in the evening. Students are motivated to read holy book of Sikhs ‘Shri Guru Granth Sahib’ and to attend the prayers regularly but there is no compulsion for Non-Sikh students. The session commences with the path of Shri Sukhmani Sahib and Ardas. Every month on the day of Sangrand religious gathering is held. Celebrating Gurupurab every year in the month of February is the salient feature of the college. This is done with the active participation of students in the form of recitation of Gurbani (Sehaj Path), performing kirtanardas, preparation and serving of Langar which fills the sense of sewa (service) in them.

GYMNASIUM

Cultivating a healthy relationship with fitness for personal well-being is vital for every individual and more so with the college students. BAM Khalsa College truly recognizes its responsibility for the mental and physical well-being of its students and staff. Adhering to this, college has established a gym in its premises. The gym is available for students and faculty in their leisure times College gym includes both-a cardio and a strength zone. This gym is equipped with latest and new training machines.  

GIRLS’ HOSTEL

A hostel is a home away from home. With an aim to facilitate the stay of outstation students, Girls’ Hostel was built up in the year 2013 in the main campus of the college under the grant of XI plan of UGC. Initially as per requirement of students who came from far- flung places for higher education, five rooms were constructed. With increase in number of students the building is expanded with the raised funds of Management and College. Presently hostel has thirteen rooms, mess, common room, guest room etc. There is provision of ramp for physically challenged students. The hostel management committee is responsible to provide neat and clean environment and ensures the safety and security of the students in the hostels.
